Reiki, a Japanese word, meaning- universal life force energy.

Reiki has an intelligence of its own and will go where it is needed – be it mind, body or spirit.

Reiki training assists in raising spiritual awareness of the self and others.

Reiki is an ancient healing art form believed to have come from Tibet. The living body radiates warmth and energy. This energy is the life force itself and is given many different names. “Reiki” – a Japanese word, means “Universal Life Force Energy”.

This energy or “Ki”, flows through all living things. The act of laying hands on the human body or animal body to comfort and relieve pain is as old as instinct. When experiencing pain, the first thing most people do is to put their hands on it. Human touch conveys warmth, serenity and healing. A mother’s healing instinct when a child is feverish or ill directs her to place her hands on the child’s forehead, or when in pain, to gently hold or rub the area. An animal mother will lick her young if they are In distress.

The Reiki healer has had their body attuned to channelling this energy by having their own energy channels opened and cleared of obstructions. The Reiki healer not only receives an increase in this energy for their own healing, but becomes connected to the source of all universal energy. Although this energy is given many different names, it is not a religion, nor affiliated to any particular religion. Reiki healing is very relaxing.

It helps relieve stress and promotes and accelerates the healing process. It will reduce or eliminate pain and it complements many other therapies. Many serious illnesses have been successfully treated with Reiki. The recipient of Reiki remains fully clothed. The hands of the healer are placed on areas of the body, or in the energy field, and Reiki begins to flow.
